xx Feb 57 - 2nd F-106 produced by Convair at San Diego CA.
30 Sep 58 - Delivered to the USAF, Retained by manufacture Convair. 56-0452 as well as 56-0451 and 56-0453 were test and eval birds, but only 451 was an actual prototypes. All three were technically F-102B models while wearing the 'FC' Buzz Code letters on the fuselage (even though photos show 'CONVAIR F-106' stenciled on the nose. The F-106 Buzz Code became the familiar 'FE'. 04 Dec 58 - To Edwards AFB CA 10 Apr 59 - To Pratt & Whitney, Hartford CT 27 Jul 59 - To Edwards AFB CA (To NF-106A) 19 Jan 60 - Dropped from inventory by transfer to school status30 Jun 62 - To 3320th Maintenance and Supply Group, (Air Training Command - ATC), Amarillo AFB TX (To GNF-106A) 20 Dec 65 - Dropped from inventory as surplus. Unable to determine final disposition of airframe.

Fuselage cut in half at station 412 (Aft bulkhead missile bay) and a new fuselage, cockpit section, and nose section was installed with the latest production avionics, the same as the last F-106A 590148 and F-106B 590165. A total of 35 aircraft (28 "A" models and 7 "B" models) were converted and reassigned to various ADC units..
