I got to sit alert, got to scramble, flew armed, fired an AIR-2A rocket, got over 1000 hours in the A/C and as we were losing them, I got to fly two flights without tanks to go Mach 2. I was in the flight that took our last five aircraft to Tucson for the boneyard and went across town to go to F-16 school. What a life.
