Comments/Notes:

The F-106 at the 49th, even though we closed the active duty portion of the Dart legacy, was amazing. Last year of the unit being open, every driver was minimum 4 ship qualified, most were IPs, and all check rides and inspections completed early in the year. Great maintainers, jets had amazing FMC rates. Still doing the air defense mission, working on new tactics.

F15C at 32nd Soesterberg NL, at the beginning of the end of the Cold War, 1987-1990, at the peak of the Reagan build up, low fly on mainland, low fly in Scotland, deployments to Red Flag/Tyndall for WSEP, scrambles from the Alert shelters...ACMI at Decimomannu...those were truly the good old days...
