Claims to fame:

The protective ring with plastic seal over the tail hook button is actually the Lowell Bell Mod.....twice he inadvertently engaged the tailhook on approach to land and slapped the nose down on the quick deceleration airshow barrier engagement.

Had rapid decompression at 64,000 at the peak of a test hop deceleration zoom.  Talked a lot about it. Didn't suffer too much brain damage.  TUC 6-9 seconds???? 

Carved priceless wooden likeness of individuals in the 11th.....which were in reality true likenesses.
