Comments/Notes:

As A2c from Storage Site, served with Weapons shop supervisors, Standardization Team and field trip to Atlantic City for EOD load familiarization. Off to Vietnam December 1966, Saigon forward to Korat Thailand with the 105s. A1c then, and by end of tour replaced SSgt as Load Team Crew Chief.

105s @ Wichita KS then re-enlisted for Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) then back to Bien Hoa August 1969-1970 and 3rd tour on up to Da Nang til March 1971.

Bien Hoa June '70 saved a weapons load young man's life who was arming an OV-10 and moved into port prop severing his left arm at the shoulder.

Award/Accomplishment:

Airman of the Month October 1965 from Storage Site.

2 commendation medals at Bien Hoa, Vietnam ribbons and Gallantry.

Just before leaving, Da Nang visited Seal Team and found out 2 of them were my drinking buddies from Navy EOD school, Indianhead Maryland '68.
