I was there and watched this happen so it must have been 1974. Lt. Shultz did an awesome job of flaring the landing then SLOWLY lowered the nose on the foamed runway. We were all amazed on just how long he was able to hold the nose up while slowing down...

Or it more probably was 1988. I was at Loring from Dec 1966 to May 1969 and did go on a Willaim Tell during that period.
