I ground handled this combo of birds at Dover when it came in for fuel. It had spoilers riveted to the leading edges to kill the lift the delta wing was creating. The flight crew said, they lifted-off from Andrews, and as they gained forward speed they felt the cable go slack and the F106 was climbing toward them, and they almost cut the cable, but they slowed the airspeed and she settled down, they returned to Andrews and had spoilers built/attached for the next attempt. That solved it.
