This is an MSL antenna on the spine of the aircraft, forward of the rotating beacon. MSL is "Microwave Landing System". We are speculating that 590086 may have been involved in earlier tests of the MSL System; since it was originally a systems test aircraft. Unverified as of 6-13-2013
